Rigweld was established more than 30 years ago by Robert Maxwell, primarily as a structural steel erection company. Rigweld flourished and cemented it’s position as one of the preferred rigging and welding specialists in the industry.
The company rapidly expanded its work force and equipment, to now be providing the most highly skilled management and rigging crews to conduct the development and erection of some of Melbourne and Interstates major landmark buildings we have today.
With the success of Rigweld’s expansion into cranes, not only for current projects but for the supply and demand of the crane hire industry, Rigweld Plant Hire was born.
Rigweld Plant Hire supplied a Dry Hire service across Australia with some 30+ cranes on offer. Over many successful projects and years of operation, Bob Maxwell decided to retire. With this decision, a new chapter was born in the long legacy of Rigweld under the direction of Leigh Capsalis & Ray Richards.
Rigweld Crane Hire now pushes forward in the ever evolving future of Construction, infrastructure and Crane Hire to keep the Rigweld name alive, continuing to provide a safe work environment and a positive culture for its employees, plant and customers.
